Ball knobs, as the name implies, are ball-shaped. In most cases, the ball is flattened on one side and threaded or with a clamp fit bore. Ball knobs are standardised according to DIN 319.
Most ball knobs have internal tapped threads or a metal threaded bushing made of brass, steel or stainless steel. Threaded ball knobs are available from M4 up to M12.
In addition to different thread sizes, ball knobs are available in various diameters from Ø10mm up to Ø60mm. Furthermore, there is a choice between plastic ball studs in Phenolic thermoset resin (Bakelite), ABS or polypropylene) or in metal such as stainless steel or aluminium.
