Verpas supplies a wide range of chair feet for angled legs. Whether you have metal or wooden angled legs, chances are that suitable chair feet are available. It is important, however, to pay close attention to the correct angle of inclination in addition to suitable feet. After all, how inclined should the angled chair feet be able to stand?
The angle of inclination is the angle a chair leg has with respect to the floor. We express this angle in degrees (°), but how to measure it? You can do so by using a protractor, protractor triangle or bevel gauge. The illustration below explains how.

In this example, the angle of the chair leg is XX°. For our chair feet, the angle of inclination is indicated with the letter W. Some angles chair feer have a fixed angle, whilst other models cover a smal angle range or are even self-adjusting. When the right chair leg size and angle of inclination are defined, a suitable chair foot can be selected.
Important note: The angle of inclination of the front legs often differs from that of the back chair legs. So please measure both angles of inclination.
For angled chair legs, various types of chair feet are available, such as ferrule caps, inserts, furniture glides and self-adhesive furniture felt and glides.
Which type of chair feet or furniture glides are suitable for angled chair legs depends on the end finish of the chair leg itself. Most legs have a squared off end. In the case of a squared off end, the chair leg is cut at a perpendicular angle (90°). But chair legs can also be angled or bevelled. In that case, the chair leg end is cut to a certain angle otherwise than 90°.
Most chair feet, such as caps (ferrules) and inserts are designed to fit under angled chair legs with squared off leg ends. In contrast, furniture glides and self-adhesive felts are mainly intended for angled (bevelled) chair legs.
Round metal tube is often used as a chair leg, also for angled legs. For round tube, various caps and insert feet are available. Most round chair leg feet for angled legs have a fixed angle of inclination or a span of a few degrees. That type of leg cap is then suitable for a specific inclination angle of the chair leg. However, if the chair foot has a joint, a larger angle range is possible. For instance, from 0° to max 22°.
For your convenience, we have listed round chair feet below that are suitable for angled chair legs.
Square chair legs with a angled stand are less common compared to round legs, but even for square chair legs, there are several angled chair feet solutions.
Rectangular shaped chair feet for angled legs are often found under garden chairs and garden furniture.
Chair leg caps and inserts for oval chair legs are available in a number of variants for use under angled legs.
With wooden chair legs and solid chair legs, often a cap is applied or a furniture glide is nailed, screwed or glued on. In such cases, it is important to know whether the wooden chair leg has a squared off end or whether it is angled.
There are numerous varieties of chair leg caps available, also in case of angled chair legs. So if you haven't found what you were looking for, feel free to contact us. We will be happy to help you.
