- These PTFE (Teflon) locking and sealing washers are available for thead sizes; Metric M3 to M36 and Whitworth 1/8”to 1 3/8” inclusive
- Suitable for locking and sealing bolt assembly’s up to and including category 8.8
- This ring combines a washer, locking washer and sealing ring in one
- Optimal locking capabilities; the washer presses upwards around the hexagon flats therewith securing and locking the nut or bolt
- No self locking nut, double or jam nut required, thereby saving costs
- Protects sensitive surfaces such as paint or enamel against damage at screw connections
- Protects against corrosion (rust) and electrolytic (galvanic) influences
- Reduces noise and vibrations
- Temperature resistance from -200ºC to +260ºC
- Good flame resistance; UL 94 V2 fire classification
- Low friction coëfficiënt and good anti-stickness
- Zero water absorption and good UV resistance - non aging
- Excellent dielectric properties (electrical insulator)
- Very good chemical resistance; resistant to most chemicals such as bases, acids, oils, steam etc.
- These Teflon locking and sealing washers deliver retaining, sealing, and insulating functions without the need for additional locking measures. They ensure a fluid and airtight screw connection and are ideal for protecting against electrolytic (galvanic) corrosion. Teflon is suitable for critical applications requiring high or low temperature performance and chemical resistance.
