Grommets and bevel edge protectors

When feeding cables, hoses, piping or tubing through panelling, sheet material or tubing usually cable grommets or open bevel edge protector caps are applied to finish the bore, hole or tube edge.

Cable grommets and bevel edge protector caps are not only used for aesthetic purposes, but serve a much larger goal, that of protecting cables, hoses and piping against rubbing damage and also to prevent dirt and moisture from entering.

Cable grommets are available in various models and versions. For example a polyamide (nylon) version which satisfies UL 94 V2 fire safety requirements and is therefor suitable for applications in devices and machines for which demands regarding fire safety apply. But there also is a rubbery PVC version that is regularly fitted in automotive and coachbuilding sectors. However bevel edge protection caps are often used in interior- and shop design or in maritime-/offshore- applications.
